The Aphasia Advocacy Club: Raising Awareness in your Community

Help us spread aphasia awareness! Help us spread aphasia awareness! We’ll share simple tips and resources for advocating for yourself and the aphasia community through personal stories. Learn how to create and share your story to raise awareness and build understanding. This session will be recorded, as some stories and advice will be shared on social media, with care partners, and healthcare providers to inspire greater understanding of aphasia. Let’s make a difference together! Join the club! (cohosted with Allie Reed)

Sessions are hosted through The Lingraphica Community - A place for individuals with various communication challenges and their care partners to connect, share, and offer support. The Lingraphica Community consists of multiple, diagnosis-specific online communities. Each individual community has a separate membership base, live online meetup sessions, and engagement opportunities.

Virtual Connections is a free program that offers daily virtual calls for people with aphasia and caregivers. Sessions focus on conversation, social connection, and quality of life.

Sessions are hosted by speech pathologists, music therapists, rehab professionals, and aphasia experts. Session topics include travel, hobbies, book clubs, food, holidays, music, and more! We know you’ll find something you love. Virtual Connections is not a speech therapy program, but rather virtual conversation and support groups for people with aphasia and caregivers.
