The Aphasia Advocacy Club: Advocating in Healthcare Settings

Help spread aphasia awareness! We’ll share simple tips and resources for advocating for yourself and the aphasia community, specifically in healthcare settings. Learn ways to educate your doctor, nurse, and other healthcare professionals on aphasia! This session will be recorded, as some stories and advice will be shared on social media, with care partners, and healthcare providers to inspire greater understanding of aphasia. Let’s make a difference together! Join the club! (cohosted with Allie Reed)

Sessions are hosted through The Lingraphica Community - A place for individuals with various communication challenges and their care partners to connect, share, and offer support. The Lingraphica Community consists of multiple, diagnosis-specific online communities. Each individual community has a separate membership base, live online meetup sessions, and engagement opportunities.

The goal of The Lingraphica Community for Parkinson’s is to provide community, connection, and education to people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners around the world through virtual conversation groups and support groups.
